Lise Saxtrup (2019)

Photographic artist book, handmade edition of 60 books made to order by the artist herself.

What seems logical and meaningful to one can be the opposite to others. Lise was always fascinated by “the real”. This is what she makes film about, makes games about and photograph. How we make sense even with only glimpses of elements, originated from all kinds of places and experiences. The stories and images we have in our heads are truly our own, until we show them and find out that our unique expression can also mean something to others.

I don’t think you were the same and now I wonder was I? is a reflection on a relation that changed. Lise wonders why.
